    Description

    Tapai or tape is a snack that is produced from the fermentation process of carbohydrate foods as a substrate by yeast. In Indonesia, these substrates are usually come from cassava root or sticky rice.
    We can make tape / cassava fermentation using ragi tape yeast.
    Ragi tape yeast is made from: rice, garlic, javanese chili, white Pepper, and fennel.
    Uses:
    - Making sweet and delicious cassava tape.
    - For Feeding Japanese ant (Note: Japanese ants can be used for herbal medicine)
    How to make Cassava Tapai / Tape with NKL Yeast ?
    - Peel cassava and wash clean, cut according to taste.
    - Steam the cassava until done. Allow it to cool completely.
    - Mash the yeast tape until smooth.
    - Move and arrange cassava in a plastic / Banana Leaf container that has a lid. Sprinkle with yeast until evenly distributed and close the container.
    - Store in a dark cupboard and room temperature. Let stand for 2-3 days. Tape is ready to be enjoyed.
